New Web Server

Heavy Development has moved to an all new web server. The HD web server is now at a facility that specializes in Mac OS X servers. It is housed in Las Vegas at Switch Communications, which is one of the most advanced data centers in the world. This facility is manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by a group of dedicated network engineers. These individuals monitor the condition of the networks, the cooling, physical plant, and even the local weather and news; watching for events which could disrupt service.

Additionally, the server equipment has been significantly upgraded with a faster dual core CPU, 8 GBs of RAM, and a Solid State Drive that is not only less susceptible to brake down but also has three times the data throughput of traditional hard drives. The hardware improvements combined with the speed of the data center connectivity, websites hosted with us have seen a significant upgrade in response times.

The server is now triple backed up. There is clone of the main drive on another internal drive, a Time Machine back up (which backs up on the hour), and an off site back up of the cloned drive. The hosting service also provides a hot standby server if our server ever goes down or needs work.

We've launched their new website! The one page site is designed around utilizing power of dynamic HTML with the jQuery JavaScript library. The site also exclusively uses cascading style sheets. The site is very simple an straight forward. It goes into the services that Telluride Multimedia has to offer and what clients we've worked with. The site has been tested to work with Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari. Please alert us if you come across any issues, misspellings, grammatical errors, or any general comments about the design.
